Here is a little bit about me as a visual artist. I was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1954; acquired a BFA at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and also studied the arts at Bennington College, Hartford Art School, Northeastern University, Decordova Museum Art School and with other artists. I spent many early years in the Boston area studying and working in the arts. Today I recently returned to reside in White Mountains of New Hampshire after a two year stay in the countryside of Vermont and several years in Connecticut as an adult. As a diversified artist, I have taught and been very prolific in my own artistic pursuits. My employment has encompassed fields of fine arts, photography, teaching, oil painting, design and illustration through various towns in New England.
Now my oil paintings encompass genres of New England Landscape, Still Life, Native American and I still accept commissions. A major work in continual progress includes a dream like mural painting titled “Changes of the Seasons”. The mural is a multitude of panels that interconnect to create one large image that spans 68′ x 3′ in size so far. See this roll across your screen and find out more at my website: www.ngartsite.com
I believe art is a product of vision, desire and discovery; and that its growth is dependent on challenges, courage and constant vigilance. It is paramount now that I create time in my week to enter the “zone” where all other distractions of life remain in the background in order to do my work for my best involvement.
Thank you all for your support and interest in the arts!
